Kayseri rises to 5th in Turkey's agricultural production rankings

Recep Bağlamış, Chairman of the Kayseri Commodity Exchange (KTB), has highlighted significant growth in Kayseri's agricultural and livestock sectors based on recent data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK).

According to the data, Kayseri's ranking in terms of agricultural land size has climbed from 10th in Turkey in 2022 to 5th in 2025. Similarly, the city's ranking in the production of cereals and other plant products has improved from 11th to 5th.

A notable increase was reported in the variety of products produced in the region; the number of plant products from Kayseri that rank among Turkey's top 10 for production volume rose from 8 to 35. Bağlamış attributed this progress to the efforts of local farmers and producers, noting that the city is now a leading hub for both agriculture and livestock alongside its established industrial and commercial sectors.
