Kayseri State Theatre reaches 194,000 spectators in three years

The Kayseri State Theatre has reached a total of 194,214 spectators since opening its doors on October 25, 2023. Over a three-year period, the institution has conducted 577 performances, maintaining an average occupancy rate of approximately 95%.

Seasonal performance data shows that during the 2023-2024 season, the theatre held 163 performances for 65,298 viewers. The 2024-2025 season saw an increase to 229 performances with 65,270 viewers, while the 2025-2026 season recorded 185 performances and 63,646 viewers.

The theatre was established through a collaboration between the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, following initiatives by Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç. The inaugural production was a performance of William Shakespeare’s ‘Bahar Noktası’, directed by Betül Gökçer.
