Kayseri to host 8th BİLİMFEST science and aviation festival

The 8th BİLİMFEST Kayseri is scheduled to take place from October 16 to 18, 2026, at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Millet Bahçesi. Organized by the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality in collaboration with TÜBİTAK and led by the Kayseri Science Center, the festival aims to bring science, technology, and aviation together.

The event plans to host approximately 200 activities across eight different themes, targeting hundreds of thousands of visitors. A major highlight will be the exhibition of HÜRJET, Turkey’s first indigenous turbofan-powered jet trainer and light attack aircraft developed by TUSAŞ.

In addition to static displays, the festival will feature aerial demonstrations, including performances by the Türk Yıldızları and Çelik Kanatlar, as well as THK balloon and paramotor shows. The initiative seeks to encourage interest in engineering, aviation, and defense technologies among the youth.
