Kayseri Trade Chamber hosts red meat producers consultation meeting

The Kayseri Trade Chamber (KTB) organized a consultation meeting for red meat producers at the Kadir Has Convention Center. Attendees included Kayseri Deputy Governor Adnan Türkdamar, AK Party MP Dursun Ataş, Kayseri Provincial Agriculture and Forestry Director Bülent Saklav, KTB Board Chairman Recep Bağlamış, and the head of the Kayseri Red Meat Producers Association, Ercan Aras, along with numerous livestock breeders and sector representatives.

Participants discussed key issues affecting the industry: supply of breeding animals, production costs, access to financing, Ziraat Bank’s subsidised credit programmes, and the implementation of a fat‑free slaughter system in abattoirs. The officials pledged to convey producers’ demands to the relevant ministries and institutions. Bağlamış emphasized the chamber’s role as a bridge between producers and public authorities and said such meetings would continue to support the development of Turkey’s agriculture and livestock sector.
