Kayseri Trade Exchange Distributes 30,000 Tomato and Pepper Seedlings

The Kayseri Trade Exchange (KTB), in partnership with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and the Ministry of National Education, handed out 30,000 tomato and pepper seedlings to citizens. The seedlings were grown by students of Şehit Cengiz Sabuncu Agricultural Vocational and Technical High School as part of a joint project that links vocational training with local agricultural production.

KTB Board Chairman Recep Bağlamış emphasized that the initiative is more than a giveaway, saying, “We did not only distribute seedlings; we supported labor, encouraged production and invested in the future.” He noted that each seedling represents “hope, prosperity and production,” and that the distribution will help families’ tables and strengthen regional farming.

The program showcases how trade institutions can promote education, social responsibility and agribusiness development in Turkey.
