Kayseri tram accident kills 24-year-old woman

A 24-year-old woman, identified as K. N. E., died following a tram accident in the Melikgazi district of Kayseri. The incident occurred near the Keykubat Tramway Station on Ahmet Gazi Ayhan Boulevard while the victim was attempting to cross to the opposite platform.

Emergency responders, including police, firefighters, and medical teams, arrived at the scene after the woman became trapped under the moving tram. Firefighters successfully extracted her, and she was transported to Kayseri City Hospital in critical condition. Despite medical interventions, she succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

Local authorities have cordoned off the area and launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the accident. Police are reviewing evidence and examining camera footage to establish responsibility and assess public transport safety measures at the station.
