Afyonkarahisar: Man kills two people following dispute over son

In the Hocalar district of Afyonkarahisar, a 78-year-old man, identified as S. Y., allegedly shot and killed two individuals, M. Ş. (30) and U. Y. (34), with a shotgun.

Reports indicate that the victims had a prior dispute with the suspect's son, M. Y., involving threats and insults. The two men reportedly went to M. Y.'s home to resolve the issue through discussion, but a new argument broke out. Upon witnessing the verbal abuse and threats directed at his son, S. Y. allegedly opened fire with a shotgun, striking the two men inside their vehicle.

Both victims were transported to the hospital but succumbed to their injuries. Police have taken both the father, S. Y., and his son, M. Y., into custody. A wide-scale investigation into the double homicide is ongoing.
