The Ministry of National Education (MEB) announced that the Liselere Geçiş Sistemi (LGS) high‑school placement deadline closes on 27 July 2026 at 17:00. Candidates must submit their choices for schools that admit students by central exam score, by local placement, or that are boarding schools through the e‑Okul portal before that time.

A total of 198,899 students will be placed in the following quotas: 60,886 seats for Anadolu high schools, 38,700 for Fen (science) high schools, 9,210 for Social Sciences high schools, 43,706 for Imam Hatip high schools, and 46,397 for vocational‑technical high schools. When central‑exam scores are tied, placement follows the order: School Success Score (OBP), Year‑End Achievement Scores (YBP) for grades 8‑6, fewer unexcused absences in grade 8, preference order, and finally younger birth‑date.

Placement results and any vacant seats will be published on 5 August 2026 on the MEB website. The first transfer round runs 5‑7 August with results on 10 August; the second transfer round runs 10‑12 August with results on 14 August. Students who remain unplaced may apply to district placement commissions between 17‑26 August, with commissions finalising allocations by 28 August.
