Kaz Dağları to host 10th Kar Spor İda Ultra marathon

The 10th anniversary of the Kar Spor İda Ultra marathon will take place from November 27 to 29 in the Kaz Dağları region of Edremit, Balıkesir. Organized by Rossist Event, the event features six different racing tracks: 105K İda Ultra, 66K Hades, 44K Zeus, 30K Poseidon, 15K Afrodit, and 8.5K Hera. The 44K Zeus route is a new addition to the program this year.

The marathon routes pass through historical villages, waterfalls, forest paths, and olive groves, incorporating sections of the Aeneas Cultural Route within National Park boundaries. Because the event coincides with the olive harvest, participants will experience the local agricultural and cultural life of the region.

Supported by Edremit Municipality and various government bodies, including the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the organization aims to promote nature sports tourism and environmental awareness while protecting the natural and cultural heritage of the Kaz Dağları.
