Kazakhstan and Georgia Sign Strategic Partnership Agreement

Kazakhstan President Kassym‑Jomart Tokayev and Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze signed a joint declaration establishing a strategic partnership between the two countries in Astana. The agreement, presented at a ceremony in the Independence Palace, highlights plans to deepen cooperation in political, economic, education, cultural, artificial‑intelligence and digital development fields.

Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan has already invested more than $500 million in Georgia and stressed the importance of expanding trade, investment and energy links, including increased transport of Kazakh oil via the Baku‑Tbilisi‑Ceyhan pipeline. Kobakhidze expressed that the partnership will give new momentum to bilateral relations and cited forthcoming agreements in tourism, culture and digital innovation.
