Eurasian nations advance energy, aviation, and diplomatic cooperation

Various international developments highlight growing cooperation and economic shifts across Eurasia. In Türkiye, the services production index rose 3 percent year-on-year in July, driven largely by a 7.9 percent increase in information and communication services.

In Azerbaijan, officials hosted a “Turkic world dialogues” panel in Baku to discuss strengthening ties and a common vision among Turkic states through the Organization of Turkic States. Additionally, Azerbaijan is promoting its tourism sector, highlighting Shusha as the Economic Cooperation Organization Tourism Capital for 2026.

Energy and infrastructure sectors are also seeing new partnerships. Montenegro and Japan signed a five-year memorandum of cooperation in Tokyo to enhance energy security, decarbonization, and natural gas infrastructure. Meanwhile, South Korea’s Incheon International Airport Corporation is advancing plans to support Uzbekistan’s aviation sector, including opening an office in Tashkent to assist with airport modernization and management expertise.
