Kaziah Liz Mejo crowned Miss Universe India 2026

Kaziah Liz Mejo, a 19-year-old law student and model from Kerala, has been crowned Miss Universe India 2026. The grand finale, held at Zee Studios in Jaipur on August 23, saw Mejo emerge victorious from a field of 52 finalists.

Mejo, who spent much of her childhood in Abu Dhabi, previously served as the first runner-up at Miss Teen International 2025 and won the Miss Universe Kerala 2026 title. Her diverse background includes training in classical dance for 12 years and proficiency in playing the violin and drums. She also made her acting debut in the Malayalam film Shylock.

The judging panel featured prominent figures including Sushmita Sen, Urvashi Rautela, Celina Jaitly, and Rhea Singha. Vaishnavi Ganesh of Tamil Nadu was named first runner-up and crowned Miss International India 2026, while Anushri Satavlekar of Gujarat finished as the second runner-up.

As the national winner, Mejo will represent India at the 75th Miss Universe pageant, scheduled to take place in Puerto Rico in November 2026.
