Kazimierza Wielka Hospital to undergo thermal modernization

The hospital in Kazimierza Wielka is set to undergo a comprehensive thermal modernization project. The Kazimierza County has secured 5.7 million PLN in funding from the European Union for the initiative, with the remaining costs to be covered by the county budget. The scope of work includes replacing windows and doors, insulating walls, modernizing the facade, and renovating bathrooms and sanitary facilities.

Technical upgrades will include replacing heat sources with heat pumps and installing a photovoltaic system with a 120 kWh energy storage capacity. Additionally, the hospital, the county, and the company Kazimierskie Wody Termalne i Lecznicze have formed an energy cooperative. They are currently applying for funds to build a 2 MW photovoltaic farm in Cudzynowice. If procedures proceed as planned, a tender for the farm could be announced by summer 2027, with operations expected to begin in 2028. This project aims to provide electricity to members of the cooperative at significantly reduced rates.
