Kağızman couple injured in gasoline flash fire

A couple in Kağızman, Kars, sustained injuries after a gasoline container leaked on a balcony, causing a flash fire when Naim Demirbaş entered the home while smoking a cigarette.

Naim Demirbaş, 49, suffered second and third-degree burns to his face, head, arms, hands, and chest while attempting to throw the gasoline container outside to prevent further damage. His wife, Nezahat Demirbaş, also sustained various burns while attempting to assist him and extinguish the fire.

The couple was initially treated at Kağızman State Hospital before being transferred to the Burn Treatment Center at Erzurum City Hospital for ongoing medical care.
