Kazuma Okamoto hits 32nd home run in Blue Jays victory

Toronto Blue Jays infielder Kazuma Okamoto hit his 32nd home run of the season during an 8-1 victory against the Baltimore Orioles at Rogers Centre. His solo shot in the fifth inning completed a rare sequence of three consecutive home runs, following hits by George Springer and Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

With this performance, Okamoto has tied the record for the most home runs in a single season by a Japanese right-handed batter in MLB history. He also surpassed the previous franchise rookie record for RBIs with 85. Despite setting a club record for strikeouts this season with 171, his offensive contributions have been vital to the Blue Jays' push for a Wild Card spot.

Guerrero Jr. also contributed significantly to the win, hitting his ninth home run of the season, which was his first at home this year.
