Kazumasa Oda and Meiji Yasuda Life earn Guinness World Record

Singer Kazumasa Oda and Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Mutual Company have been recognized by Guinness World Records for the “Longest continuous use of music by the same artist in a corporate TV commercial.” The certification, dated September 22, 2026, honors a partnership spanning 27 years.

The collaboration began in 1999 with the song “Kotoba ni Dekinai” and has continued through various musical eras, including the use of songs such as “Tashikana Koto,” “Ai ni Naru,” and “Kaze wo Matte.” The current commercial campaign features Oda’s latest track, “Kitto!.”

In addition to this record, Oda recently achieved a milestone on the Oricon Weekly Album Ranking, where his album “Kitto!” debuted at number two, making him the oldest artist to reach the top three at age 79.
