Kazunari Ninomiya warns against athlete slander ahead of Asian Games

At a press conference for the upcoming Asian Games in Aichi and Nagoya, actor Kazunari Ninomiya issued a plea for viewers to refrain from online slander and defamation against athletes. Ninomiya, serving as a TBS special ambassador, expressed concern that negative comments regarding competition results could severely impact the mental health of participants.

The upcoming games mark the first time the event has been held in Japan in 32 years, since the 1994 Hiroshima games. TBS will provide exclusive live coverage of the event, which features 43 sports and 469 disciplines.

Former professional table tennis player Kazumi Ishikawa also attended the conference, expressing her commitment to supporting the athletes and conveying the excitement and charm of the sports to viewers.
