Kazuya Ohashi completes filming for solo starring role in ‘Jinsei o Kaeta Conte’

Filming has concluded for the movie ‘Jinsei o Kaeta Conte’ (The Comedy That Changed My Life), marking the first solo starring role for Kazuya Ohashi, a member of the group Naniwa Danshi. The film is based on a semi-autobiographical novel by comedian Seiya of the duo Shimofuri Myojo.

The story follows a high school student named Ishikawa who overcomes bullying and regains his sense of self through comedy during a school festival. The production wrapped up after approximately one and a half months of filming.

Cast members, including Hiyori Sakurada, Oshiro Maeda, and Hiromi Nagasaku, have released comments and photos following the wrap. Ohashi expressed that experiencing the character's journey through Seiya's real-life experiences inspired him to want to “be able to send out messages that can make people smile.” The film is scheduled for release on December 18.
