Kazuya Ohashi stars in new Zikinine First Neo commercials

Zenyaku Kogyo has released new television commercials for its Zikinine First Neo cold medicine series, featuring Kazuya Ohashi of the group Naniwa Danshi. The campaign includes two distinct versions: a ‘3-ingredient’ version targeting throat pain and a ‘5-ingredient’ version targeting coughs.

The new advertisements introduce a fresh sound logo, with Ohashi singing, “Kaze ni tekijin, kiku Zikinine” (Suitable for colds, effective Zikinine). The campaign also includes behind-the-scenes footage and interviews, where Ohashi discusses his five-year relationship with the brand and shares personal anecdotes regarding his daily routines.

The blue Zikinine First Neo variant utilizes a ‘quick release formula’ to deliver three ingredients—acetaminophen, ibuprofen, and tranexamic acid—to the throat. The purple variant, released in September, contains five ingredients designed to address severe coughing symptoms.
