Kazuya Yoshii to perform theme song for TV Tokyo drama Borders

Musician Kazuya Yoshii will perform the theme song “MUJO” for the upcoming TV Tokyo drama “Borders: Metropolitan Police Department Special Incident Countermeasures Squad,” which premieres on October 16.

Based on the suspense novel by Junichi Dobo, the series stars Kazuki Sawamura as a member of the SCU, a specialized unit tasked with handling complex crimes that fall outside traditional police jurisdictions, such as cybercrime and international drug trafficking.

The theme song “MUJO,” a rock track written by Yoshii, is scheduled for digital release on the same day the drama begins broadcasting. The song is also set to be included in Yoshii’s upcoming full album, “Ikimono Energy.”
