KB Asset Management's RISE covered call ETFs exceed 1.5 trillion won

KB Asset Management announced that the net assets of its four RISE Daily Fixed Covered Call ETF products have exceeded 1.5 trillion won. The series utilizes a ‘third-generation covered call’ strategy, which involves selling call options at a fixed 10% ratio of the underlying asset daily. This structure allows the funds to secure option premiums for monthly distributions while maintaining approximately 90% exposure to the underlying index's growth.

The four products in the lineup include the RISE US Tech 100, RISE US AI Value Chain, RISE US Dividend 100, and RISE US S&P 500 Daily Fixed Covered Call ETFs. Performance data shows the RISE US Tech 100 has achieved a cumulative distribution rate of 38.27% over 22 distributions, while the RISE US AI Value Chain reported a one-year return of 45.70%.

According to Yuk Dong-hwi, head of ETF Product Marketing at KB Asset Management, the milestone reflects growing investor interest in products that combine monthly income with capital growth. The company expects these products to see increased utility as long-term investment options within retirement pension accounts (DC and IRP).
