KB Insurance Stars to host volleyball games in Pyeongtaek

The KB Insurance Stars men's professional volleyball team has announced that it will use the Ichung Cultural Sports Center in Pyeongtaek as its temporary home stadium for the 2026-2027 V-League season. The team is scheduled to host 18 regular-season home games at the venue from November through April.

The move follows the closure of the team's previous home, Uijeongbu Gymnasium, due to structural safety concerns regarding its roof. After a period of using Kyungmin University's memorial hall, which also received recommendations for facility improvements, the club sought a more stable venue. Pyeongtaek City proposed the use of the Ichung Cultural Sports Center to expand local access to professional sports and stimulate the regional economy.

KB Insurance Stars officials expressed regret to their existing fans in Uijeongbu regarding the relocation. Pyeongtaek Mayor Choi Won-yong stated that the city will work closely with the club to ensure the games provide new leisure opportunities for citizens and will use the results of this season to evaluate future professional sports initiatives in the city.
