KB Prvo Pension Society appoints new board member and hosts MicroBalkans conference

KB Prvo Pension Society has appointed Dr. Kiril Jovanovski, a professor of finance at the Economic Faculty in Skopje, as an independent member of its Supervisory Board. The appointment, which received approval from the Agency for Supervision of Capital Funded Pension Insurance (MAPAS), follows the conclusion of Dusica Stevcevska-Srbinoska’s mandate. Jovanovski brings extensive experience from the financial sector, including previous roles at Stopanska Banka Skopje and Komercialna Banka, as well as positions with the Central Depository for Securities and the Macedonian Stock Exchange.

Separately, the third edition of the MicroBalkans international conference, themed ‘Lending Reimagined’, is scheduled for September 24–25 in Skopje. The event will gather over 200 financial sector representatives from 15 European countries to discuss the future of microfinance, artificial intelligence in lending, and digital transformation. Organized by the Group of Non-Banking Financial Companies at the Chamber of Economy of North Macedonia and savings banks, in partnership with the Western Balkans Alliance and the European Microfinance Network, the conference will feature addresses from the Governor of the National Bank of North Macedonia.
