KB Securities integrates stock trading into OK Cashbag app
KB Securities has launched an embedded finance service within SK Planet’s OK Cashbag application, allowing users to perform various brokerage tasks without installing a separate securities app. The integration, which began on October 21, enables customers to open KB Securities accounts, trade domestic and international stocks, and engage in fractional investing directly through the OK Cashbag ‘Today’s Investment’ menu.
A key feature of this partnership is the ability for users to convert accumulated OK Cashbag points into deposit funds within their KB Securities accounts for investment purposes. This move follows a business agreement signed between the two companies in April to expand financial services via API-based integration.
This initiative is part of KB Securities’ broader strategy to expand its embedded finance business by connecting with non-financial platforms, similar to its existing integration with BC Card’s ‘Paybooc’. To support the launch, the company plans to host a ‘Lucky Investment Competition’ and point payback events for new customers starting in October.
