KBC Rijeka disputes union claims following court ruling on employee reinstatement

The KBC Rijeka University Hospital has issued a sharp response following a court ruling that declared the dismissal of former technical service head Gradimir Šain unlawful. The Municipal Court in Rijeka has ordered Šain's reinstatement to his position.

In response to the ruling and subsequent press conferences held by the Croatian Health Union, KBC Rijeka management accused the union of using media platforms to promote personal interests and defame the current minister. The hospital management specifically targeted Union President Radmila Čahut Jurišić, asserting that she is not a legal representative of the workers at KBC Rijeka and citing a prior conviction for the abuse of her union position.

KBC Rijeka maintains that the union is attempting to link unrelated legal proceedings to serve its own agenda and has stated its intention to appeal the court's decision regarding Šain.
