KBO League reaches 10 million spectators in record 565 games

The KBO League has reached a milestone of 10 million cumulative spectators for the third consecutive year. This achievement was reached in just 565 games, setting a new record for the fewest games required to hit the 10 million mark, surpassing last year’s record by 22 games.

As of the 26th, the league recorded a total of 10,024,140 spectators. The average attendance per game stands at 17,742, representing a 4.5% increase compared to the same period last year, with an overall stadium occupancy rate of 85.7%.

Among individual clubs, the LG Twins lead with over 1.32 million spectators. Samsung Lions, Doosan Bears, and Lotte Giants have also surpassed the 1 million mark. The Samsung Lions hold the highest home game occupancy rate at 99.2%, while the Hanwha Eagles lead in the total number of sold-out home games.

The league is currently on track to potentially break last year’s single-season attendance record of 12,312,519.
