KBO League resumes with dominant pitching performances

The KBO League resumed on August 11 following a heatwave break, featuring high-stakes matchups between league aces.

In the Doosan Bears versus Hanwha Eagles game, Doosan pitcher Kwak Bin delivered a dominant performance, pitching 6 scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts and a maximum velocity of 157 km/h. Despite bullpen struggles, Doosan secured a 6-3 victory thanks to a decisive three-run home run by Park Jun-sun in the 7th inning. Park's performance marked him as the youngest player to record double-digit game-winning hits in a single season since 2002.

In other action, KIA Tigers pitcher Adam Oller rebounded from recent struggles to earn his 10th season win, pitching 6 innings with only one run allowed against the Samsung Lions. Meanwhile, LG Twins pitcher Carlos Carrasco earned his first KBO victory, maintaining a perfect game through the first three innings before allowing a hit in the 4th.
