KCC Glass targets new apartment market with high-functionality flooring
KCC Glass is expanding its presence in the B2B market for new apartment construction by promoting its high-functionality flooring product, ‘Forest Sorihyu’. The company is specifically targeting newlyweds and households with young children by focusing on features such as noise reduction, shock absorption, and eco-friendliness.
Forest Sorihyu is a 6mm thick PVC flooring material designed to reduce living noise and absorb impact. Testing by the Korea Conformity Laboratories showed a reduction of approximately 19dB in lightweight impact noise from concrete structures, offering a 58% better noise reduction effect and more than double the shock absorption compared to standard reinforced wood flooring.
The product also features high-strength transparent layers for scratch resistance, waterproofing, and a special UV coating containing cypress oil for deodorization. It has received environmental certifications and demonstrated antiviral performance, reducing coronavirus presence by 99.9% within 24 hours in laboratory tests.
Following a recent renewal, KCC Glass has expanded its design options from five to ten, incorporating wide stone designs to meet current interior trends. The product has already been selected for several apartment projects in Seongnam, Goyang, and Pyeongtaek, with plans to expand from public housing to private residential developments.
