KCCG and ITAS develop PathAI for AI-supported tumor diagnosis

The Clinical Center of Montenegro (KCCG) and IT Advanced Services (ITAS) have developed PathAI, an artificial intelligence software solution designed to support pathologists in the analysis of digitized histopathological specimens. The tool assists in the recognition and analysis of tumor tissue.

Supported by the Innovation Fund of Montenegro, the project has a total value of nearly 200,000 euros and has been in development for 18 months. The initial phase of development and validation focuses on colorectal adenocarcinoma, a significant area in modern oncological diagnostics. KCCG Director Aleksandar Radović noted that the project combines clinical expertise with modern technology to improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare in Montenegro.
