KD Čistoća introduces operational zone managers in Rijeka

KD Čistoća has introduced operational zone managers to oversee waste management services in Rijeka and its surrounding local government units. This new organizational structure is part of a broader job systematization aimed at increasing efficiency and accelerating problem resolution on the ground.

Each manager will be responsible for a specific area, where they will monitor waste conditions, communicate directly with users, local committees, and communal wardens, and handle reports or complaints. Their duties include proposing the installation or repair of waste containers and directing vehicles for the collection of bulky and other types of waste based on operational capacity.

Director Igor Velimirović stated that the goal is to resolve issues more quickly and effectively through direct field monitoring and cooperation with other services. In cases of improper waste disposal, managers will work with communal and traffic wardens to ensure timely responses in accordance with regulations.
