KD Čistoća launches waste management surveys and collection drive in Rijeka

KD Čistoća is implementing new initiatives to improve waste management and cleanliness in local neighborhoods. The utility company is conducting citizen surveys to better understand issues regarding improper waste disposal. Two types of surveys are being distributed via mailboxes: one focusing on improper disposal near containers and another addressing bulky waste issues. Completed questionnaires can be returned to collection boxes placed under mailboxes for a five-day period.

Additionally, KD Čistoća, in collaboration with the Trsat Local Committee, is organizing a weekend eco-action on October 10 and 11. During this event, specialized containers for bulky waste—such as furniture, mattresses, and large household items—will be available at three locations in the Trsat area, including the parking lot near Park heroja Strmica. The initiative aims to prevent the illegal dumping of large items in public and green spaces. Residents are reminded that construction debris is excluded from this specific collection drive.
