KDDI expands povo2.0 service with new router and cashback offers

KDDI and its partners are expanding the ecosystem for the povo2.0 mobile service through new hardware and promotional incentives in Japan.

Fujisoft, in collaboration with KDDI and Wi2, will launch the ‘+F FS045W’ mobile Wi-Fi router on October 20, 2026. As part of the ‘ConnectIN povo’ lineup, the device includes 10GB of povo2.0 data valid for one year and one year of ‘Gigazo Wi-Fi’ service. The product is designed for emergency preparedness and remote monitoring, allowing users to maintain a secondary communication method without monthly fixed costs.

Additionally, KDDI, Okinawa Cellular, and KDDI Digital Life have announced a cashback campaign for users switching to povo2.0 via MNP. Customers who purchase specific one-year data toppings using Paidy’s ‘buy now, pay later’ service can receive increased rewards. Depending on the data volume purchased, total returns—including existing au PAY incentives—can reach up to 21,000 yen.
