KDDI to host Summer Festival at LINK FOREST in Tama City

KDDI, KDDI Learning, and KDDI Engineering will host the "Manabi no Mori LINK FOREST Summer Festival" on August 22 at the LINK FOREST complex in Tama City, Tokyo. This free, experiential event focuses on themes of telecommunications, science, and disaster prevention.

The outdoor exhibition will feature KDDI's disaster response vehicles, including vehicle-mounted base stations used to restore mobile services in disaster areas, amphibious buggies, and four-wheel ATVs. Attendees can also participate in disaster preparedness activities such as earthquake simulations using shaker vehicles and fire truck demonstrations.

Indoor activities include programming workshops for elementary students using Minecraft, hands-on experiences with latest smartphone AI features, and traditional festival games. The event also offers educational workshops, such as radio construction in collaboration with TOKYO FM, and free access to the KDDI Art Gallery featuring approximately 80 works of Japanese and Western art.
