KDE Akademy celebrates 30 years of open-source development in Graz
The KDE Akademy conference recently took place in Graz, Austria, marking the 30th anniversary of the KDE project. The event served as a gathering for developers to collaborate, exchange ideas, and discuss the future of open-source desktop environments.
Key discussions at the conference included the evolution of desktop user experience (UX) and the importance of innovation in the face of established operating systems. Technical sessions also focused on improvements to Personal Information Management (PIM) software, with noted investment from the Sovereign Tech Agency.
Other topics addressed included quality assurance (QA) through continuous delivery (CD) builds, which have been identified as a significant factor in improving software quality by encouraging users to become contributors.
