KDEM, GoodWorks aim for ₹5,000 crore GCC investment in Karnataka
The Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) and GoodWorks Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to accelerate the state’s Global Capability Centre (GCC) ecosystem. The partnership targets the creation of 50 new GCCs in Karnataka and seeks to attract more than ₹5,000 crore in fresh investment.
GoodWorks’ economic impact assessment estimates the initiative could generate over 62,500 direct and indirect jobs, ₹2,250 crore in annual salaries and the absorption of about 1.25 million sq ft of commercial real‑estate. The collaboration will combine KDEM’s investment‑promotion and policy support with GoodWorks’ Sansovi GCC‑as‑a‑Service platform, organising sector‑focused roundtables, international delegations and research for markets such as North America, Europe, Japan, South Korea and the Middle East.
Key focus sectors include artificial intelligence, engineering, financial services, manufacturing, healthcare and semiconductors, with plans for virtual Centres of Excellence and stronger industry‑academia links to develop high‑skilled talent in the state.
