KDNP announces public tender for Media Council delegate

The Christian Democratic People's Party (KDNP) has announced a public tender to select its delegate for the Media Council (Médiatanács). According to KDNP Executive Vice President Csaba Latorcai, the party is seeking independent candidates with media experience and a Christian-democratic mindset who meet the legal requirements for membership in public media bodies.

The selected delegate is expected to represent Christian values, the traditional family model, national identity, and human dignity. To ensure impartiality, the role prohibits active political party activity; the delegate may not make statements on behalf of the party.

Candidates must be eligible for election to the National Assembly, possess a university degree, and meet specific professional criteria, such as five years of experience in media supervision or leadership within the media/telecommunications industry. Individuals who have held political party positions or engaged in political activities within the five years preceding their nomination are ineligible. Applications are being accepted via the KDNP website until August 25.
