KDNP holds prayer service in Budapest for political prisoners

The Christian Democratic People's Party (KDNP) organized a prayer service in Budapest at the Belvárosi Nagyboldogasszony Főplébániatemplom to support political prisoners and their families.

Erzsébet Sípos, the mother of Viktor Orbán, attended the event. During the service, she was approached by journalists from the pro-government outlet Kontroll. When asked by reporter Balázs Gulyás if a prayer would eventually be needed for Viktor Orbán himself, Sípos responded that she prays for her son constantly, regardless of whether the context is for prisoners or otherwise.

The event aimed to provide support to those perceived as political prisoners, including individuals such as Balázs Hankó, Veronika Varga-Bajusz, Miklós Seszták, and Balázs Bús. Political analyst Dániel Deák noted the presence of pro-government provocateurs at the gathering.
