KDNP MP criticizes Tisza Party over child protection laws

KDNP Member of Parliament Zsuzsa Máthé criticized the Tisza Party during a parliamentary session, alleging that the current government has failed to protect children from gender propaganda in media and educational institutions. Máthé claimed that the Tisza Party has bowed to European Union dictates and international LGBTQ lobbying groups by removing legal safeguards from child protection laws.

She argued that these changes disregard the results of the 2022 child protection referendum, in which 3.6 million voters supported government mandate in this area. Máthé further asserted that parental rights and child protections were effectively traded for 4.2 billion euros in EU funding. She also noted that a petition against the current legal framework has already garnered nearly 30,000 signatures.
