Ordu: Hit-and-run driver flees after striking dog, causing child to faint

In the Korgan district of Ordu, a hit-and-run accident involving a pet dog has caused significant distress to a local family. The incident occurred in Tepe Mahallesi when a family member, Canan Ö., opened a garden gate to move a vehicle, causing the family dog to run into the road.

A passing motorist struck the dog and fled the scene without stopping. The impact killed the animal, and the sight of the deceased pet caused 10-year-old Gülizar Ö. to lose consciousness from shock.

The entire incident was captured on a home security camera. Following a formal complaint from the family, gendarmerie teams have launched an investigation to identify the driver and the vehicle involved using the footage.
