Kędzierzyn-Koźle police investigate woman's murder and attack on minor
Police in Kędzierzyn-Koźle are investigating a series of violent incidents. A 49-year-old woman was found dead in a forest near the Żabieniec estate on August 28, 2026. Investigators determined she died from multiple blunt force injuries to the head. Authorities have ruled out robbery or sexual motives and are urgently requesting dashcam footage from drivers who traveled near the Żabieniec estate, local allotment gardens, or the Odrzańskie Ogrody shopping center between 14:00 and 20:00 that day.
In a separate but related development in the same region, a 12-year-old girl was reportedly attacked by an unknown man armed with a knife near the Piast estate. The incident allegedly involved a sexual act, and police are working with family courts to conduct the minor's testimony.
Additionally, in Gdańsk, a 39-year-old woman was hospitalized after being struck in the head area by what is believed to be pellets from an air rifle while visiting the city for a bachelorette party. Police are continuing to investigate the identity of the shooter.
