Kędzierzyn-Koźle uses local symbols to promote cancer prevention

In Kędzierzyn-Koźle, local goat figurines have been dressed in pink and blue scarves to promote cancer prevention awareness. The pink scarves represent breast cancer awareness month in October, while the blue scarves symbolize November, a month dedicated to encouraging men to undergo regular health screenings.

The scarves were handmade by patients of the ‘Oko w Oko z Rakiem’ Foundation. Kędzierzyn-Koźle Mayor Sabina Nowosielska participated in the initiative alongside Karolina Sebesta-Jabłońska from the foundation. The campaign aims to use the visual display to prompt passersby to consider regular medical check-ups, which can lead to earlier detection and more effective treatment of various cancers.
