Keacy Carty and Alick Athanaze to captain West Indies ‘A’

Cricket West Indies (CWI) has announced that Keacy Carty and Alick Athanaze will lead the West Indies ‘A’ squads in an upcoming home series against England ‘A’. The series, held in St Kitts & Nevis, will consist of three T20 matches from November 1 to 4, followed by five One-Day matches from November 7 to 16.

Carty will captain the 15-member One-Day squad, while Athanaze will lead the 13-member T20 squad. CWI indicated that the One-Day series is a critical step toward preparing for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier in February. The T20 series serves as a platform to identify players and roles ahead of the 2028 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

The squads include several players with senior international experience, such as Kamil Pooran and Vitel Lawes. Notable inclusions also feature academy player Rivaldo Clarke and Jamaican fast bowler Stewart Thompson.
