Keşan City Council meets to discuss urban development and education

The Keşan City Council held a meeting to discuss the future development of Keşan, involving local officials, chamber of commerce representatives, and community leaders.

The meeting agenda included several key local priorities: the establishment of a Keşan Faculty, increasing student dormitory capacity, and building a guest house for academics. Other topics addressed were the Mecidiye Coast barrier-free beach project, earthquake preparedness and urban risk assessment, the need for a rehabilitation center and nursing home, and social responsibility initiatives to support education.

Council President Hasan Karagöz noted that the requests regarding higher education are shared by all vocational schools in the region. While the Keşan District Governor's office will not attend to allow civil society organizations to take primary ownership of the initiatives, the administration has pledged full support for all proposed projects.
