Keane Hodgen faces court after dangerous motorway pursuit

Keane Hodgen appeared before Liverpool Crown Court after pleading guilty to dangerous driving, failing to stop, and driving while disqualified. The offences occurred on August 18 during a high-speed pursuit involving a cloned Mercedes Benz.

Greater Manchester Transport Police initiated the chase after identifying the vehicle through number plate recognition. Hodgen drove on the wrong side of the M56 motorway and ignored tactical contact attempts from officers. The pursuit concluded after Hodgen stopped the vehicle and fled into a nearby field, where he was located by a police helicopter.

Hodgen, who is disqualified from driving until March 2030, has seven previous convictions for 18 offences, including a dangerous driving charge from last year. During the proceedings, it was noted as a ‘miracle’ that the pursuit on the wrong side of the motorway did not result in any injuries or fatalities.
