Kebbi State Governor's aide Muhammad Gado Suleiman Marafa dies

Muhammad Gado Suleiman Marafa, a Special Adviser to Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris, has died following a prolonged illness. He passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026.

Marafa held several prominent positions during his career in public service, including former Commissioner for Information and Culture, Commissioner for Solid and Mineral Resources, and Chairman of the Fakai Local Government Area. He also served as a member of the Kebbi State House of Assembly and Chairman of the Board of the Kebbi State Health Management Agency (KECHEMA).

Governor Nasir Idris expressed his condolences, describing Marafa as a dedicated public servant and an important stakeholder from Fakai. Funeral prayers are scheduled to take place at the 1st Izala Juma’at Mosque in Zuru, Kebbi State, following the Juma’at prayer on Friday, September 4, 2026.
