Kedarnath Dham pilgrimage sees over 15 lakh visitors

The pilgrimage to Kedarnath Dham has seen a significant increase in devotees following the conclusion of the monsoon season. Rudraprayag District Magistrate Vishal Mishra reported that more than 15 lakh pilgrims have already visited the shrine to offer prayers.

To manage the rising footfall, the Rudraprayag administration has intensified arrangements along the yatra route and at the temple. The area has been divided into several sectors, each managed by designated sector officers. Officials are focusing on maintaining cleanliness, ensuring the availability of drinking water, and maintaining toilet facilities.

Ongoing inspections have led to repair and upgrade works along the pilgrimage route to ensure pilgrim safety and facilitate a smooth experience.
