Kediri hosts Finswimming Wali Kota Cup II with 670 athletes

The second Wali Kota Cup II Finswimming Provincial Championship was held at the Tirtoyoso Swimming Pool in Kediri, attracting 670 athletes from 25 regions across East Java.

Kediri Mayor Vinanda Prameswati attended the event, noting that hosting the championship for the second consecutive year is a point of pride. The local government aims to prioritize finswimming as part of preparations for the 2027 Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) and potential hosting duties for the 2029 Porprov. Additionally, the regional sports committee views such competitions as a driver for sport tourism in Kediri.
