Kediri Mayor honors Karang Taruna youth at 2026 awards

The Karang Taruna Award 2026 was held at Memorial Park in Kediri, featuring the colossal drama performance ‘Laras Nusantara di Bumi Panjalu’. The theatrical production explored themes of conflict, tradition, struggle, and harmony.

Kediri Mayor Vinanda Prameswati attended the event to express appreciation for the Karang Taruna organization's contributions to community activities. She highlighted the strategic role of the youth organization in regional development and its ability to foster social awareness amidst technological and social changes.

During the ceremony, 17 village-level Karang Taruna groups received awards, including four top-performing organizations. The Mayor emphasized the importance of collaboration between the local government and community elements like the Karang Taruna to address local issues.
