Kediri Mayor releases student athletes for East Java sports competitions

Kediri Mayor Vinanda Prameswati officially released the city's student athlete contingents for the 2026 East Java Regional Student Sports Week (Popda XV) and the 3rd East Java Regional Student Para-Sports Week (Peparpeda III). The ceremony took place at the Kediri City Hall on Friday, October 30, 2026.

During the event, the Mayor expressed appreciation for the athletes, coaches, and mentors involved in the preparations. She encouraged the participants to compete with confidence and spirit, utilizing their training to achieve maximum results.

In addition to athletic performance, the Mayor emphasized the importance of sportsmanship, honesty, discipline, and respect for opponents. She urged the athletes to maintain good character and avoid unsportsmanlike conduct, such as fighting or being disrespectful.
