KEDS announces Kosovo power outages; Elbasan unveils infrastructure plans
KEDS has announced planned electricity outages in several regions of Kosovo for October 7, 2026, due to network maintenance, security upgrades, and third-party investments. In the Pristina region, outages are scheduled for Breznica, Kozarica, and Barileva, as well as parts of Prishtina e Re. In the Prizren region, maintenance and drone-assisted inspections will affect areas including Baçkë, Dikancë, Leshtan, Radesh, and parts of Zhuri and Dragash.
In Albania, the Municipality of Elbasan has outlined new investment priorities for Region No. 2 through a participatory budgeting process. Mayor Gledian Llatja announced upcoming projects including the reconstruction of the ‘Vasil Kamami’ school, the construction of Nursery No. 6 in Balashe, and the inauguration of the ‘Dua të Luaj’ park. Additionally, infrastructure improvements are planned for road networks, including the transformation of the Cërrik intersection into a roundabout designed to handle approximately 35,000 vehicles per day.
